I am drawn to lives that leave a mark.
My work explores the intersection of character, history, and human significance through portraiture. I seek out individuals whose stories reflect courage, curiosity, achievement, sacrifice, creativity, or an uncommon way of seeing the world. Whether an artist, entrepreneur, scientist, explorer, elder, or cultural figure, each subject represents a chapter in the larger human story.
Photography, for me, is not merely a record of appearance. It is an act of preservation. A portrait has the power to become a historical document, carrying a person's presence beyond their lifetime into a legacy.
Influenced by the traditions of Yousuf Karsh, George Hurrell, and the great portraitists who photographed the mythic and masculine men of the last German era. I strive to create images that are both intense, deep, and enduring. My aim is not simply to photograph faces, but to reveal the nature and rousing emotions that drive them.
Through long-form portrait projects, books, exhibitions, and commissioned work, I am building an archive of remarkable lives—images intended not only for today, but for future generations.
At its heart, my work asks a simple question:
Who are the people worth remembering, and how do we remember them well?
